Description

When we set out on the Arctic overshoe project, our goals were clear:

  1. Provide warmth, especially for those toes during long rides.
  2. Offer a more durable overshoe than what’s currently on the market.
  3. Ensure they’re easy to use – quick to put on and non-restrictive for pedalling.

For riders who love versatility, our wide cleat holes are compatible with both road and Race XC MTB shoes. The 4mm neoprene ensures a snug and secure fit. With a high cuff reaching up to the calf, these overshoes promise superior coverage without compromising the ease of pedalling, thanks to the neoprene’s excellent stretch.

Safety hasn’t been overlooked. The 3M reflective details boost visibility in low-light conditions. To protect your feet and enhance durability, the overshoe features a moulded rubber toe cap specifically designed for right and left feet. This cap protects against road spray and the elements, while the treaded underside aids grip on slick cafe floors. Additionally, the reinforced sole is built to last. 3M Reflective accents on the zip sides further ensure visibility during after-dark rides.

To further enhance the overshoe’s performance, an elastic seal at the top reduces moisture entry. The robust YYK cam lock zip, which is the strongest in our arsenal, is paired with stretch fabric on both sides of the closure for reduced pressure points. The double stitching promises longevity – but for optimal performance, take a moment to line up the cleat and heel holes correctly during fitting.

Features:

  • Weight: 198g (L. Pair)
  • Base Composition: 84% Neoprene, 16% PU
  • Upper Composition: 12,000/6,000
  • Waterproof seam sealing
  • Durable YKK Zip
  • Road-specific sole design
  • Reinforced toe area
  • Protective rubber toe cap

Sizing:

  • XS: 35-37
  • SMALL: 37-40
  • MEDIUM: 40-43
  • LARGE: 43-45
  • XL: 45-47
  • XXL: 46-48

Care Note: Overshoes are designed for cycling. Their lifespan shortens significantly with walking. Avoid walking, especially on concrete, to preserve them. When needed, walk carefully on your heel and cleat to prevent slipping and keep the toe area off the ground.

Surprisingly easy to get on for an overshoe. Size XL fit alright on my specialized and bontrager size 45 (29cm) shoes. Good price and very solid toe part. Depending on how flexible your shoe is you might feel the edge of the front rubber part though. Nice understated design and very flexible upper cuff, especially with rain this comes in handy. Would rate it 5 stars if it was available in fluo yellow and if they made the heel design a bit different. If the lower part of the heel would be cut away it’d stay in place a bit better. Now the rear part has the tendency to slip under the heel if I don’t pull it up high enough. Overall good buy though.

these are a big step up from my last brand..rubber toe cover that goes underneath to stop premature wear..went through heavy showers yesterday no wet feet..quality zip and velcro fastening..xl good fit for size 45..just another top quality product.. 🙂

Highly recommended. Cold winds and rain have nothing on these. Feet left warm and dry you just forgot about it and cycle.
I wear a size 43 Shimano shoe and bought the large. It is tight but after a few goes will get the nack. Lots of clearance for cleats.
    Excellent.

The product looks amazing but unfortunately, the sizing guidance on the website is incorrect. I ordered small (supposed to be 39–41) but the size on the shoes said 37–39 which is more of x-small. Please update the info on the website. Thanks.

Had these for a couple of months and have worn in the wet and cold (3 Deg C) and feet haven’t been cold once. Really robust overshoes and I love them.

  6. Conor H (verified owner)

Excellent overshoes, they are snug around the foot and keep out wind and rain. Also surprisingly easy to get on and off once you do it a few times. Only issue is for a skinny guy like me the seal around the top of the ankle and the fit around the lower leg is not very tight and will leave in water. Other than that excellent.

  7. John Greene

Have worn many brands of overshoes over the years but the Artic overshoe beats them all.The fit is so good once you get it correct with your shoe size as it is as near water tight as you will get and clings to your foot. The seal also around your leg is water tight so nothing comes down your leg. Also the warmth when rain does not get in leaves you with no option to get cold feet.Great product and highly recommend. My shoe size is 42/8 so Large fits perfect

Oh my God yes! Just buy these, had to replace a knackered old neoprene pair. These arrived and have kept my feet sooo warm and dry ever since, just made me wonder why I hadn’t bought them earlier. Really sturdy keep the wind out no problem and dry from road spray. Even dry riding through some pretty deep puddles too!

  9. Dermot O’Neill

So far so good. I wear a size 42 sidi mtb shoe/pedal for commuting and got a medium. They feel strong and sturdy in design and construction, bit like wearing a wetsuit on your feet. Used over the winter so far and working as advertised. I like! The only change I could suggest is that the rear heel size opening be slightly larger for mtb shoes.

Best shoe covers I’ve owned. Big fan of the material and the fit. I purchased large and have size 10/44 feet wearing bont shoes they are a tight fit but I prefer that over anything loose.

  11. joostvanbreukelen (verified owner)

I like these overshoes, especially for the low cost. They kept my feet warm for an 1,5 hour ride in -4 Celsius wearing warm socks. I almost never ride in the rain, so I can’t say anything about their water resistance.

However, consider sizing up. The fit is very snug. My normal shoesize is 42, but the cycleshoes I use (Decathlon 500) are 44 in size because 42 or 43 wouldn’t fit my feet. I ordered these overshoes in size L, but I have difficulties getting them around the pedal clips. Maybe XL would have made this easier. So: when using the sizing table, look at the actual shoesize and not your ‘normal’ shoesize.

Tested these today and am very pleased. The sizing is snug, but this is an advantage once their as they’re nice and neat (not like other winter overshoes I’ve had). Very happy with them. Considered getting Assos and glad I didn’t as these are great.

I’ve worn these overshoes several times this winter and have found them to be the best overshoe I have ever worn. They fit snugly and are very durable, unlike many other overshoes at least twice the price that I have used in the past. In 2 to 5 degrees Celcius temperatures I have found that they keep my feet adequately warm, no cold feet. I have not worn them yet in continual rain for an extended period of time however I have worn them on wet road rides and found that they have kept my shoes completely dry. I recommend these overshoes.

  14. Dave P (verified owner)

Worn these a few times now in all sorts of conditions. My feet are still dry hence the four stars.. can’t really fault them except they are a bit on the snug size!! But I did just guess my size rather than checking the size chart so that’s all my fault..

  15. D. Evans

well priced for the superb level of winter coverage they provide. for neoprene o shoes they look neat on the feet, which defo goes to help with their insulation properties. Nothing keeps the rain out, but these definitely help keep it at bay that bit longer

  16. Karol (verified owner)

After a few hundred KM in them I can safely say it’s a great product!

  17. Mark Johnston (verified owner)

purchased these from the site on monday and they arrived a day later just in time, i emailed Galibier to be sure i ordered the correct size. 10.5 and ordered an XL, they fit perfectly. these have a super quality feel to them and you can tell they they arent just threw together,

  18. higgo99 (verified owner)

Fit like a glove, keep the muck out, keep your feet warm, lightweight, durable. No gap at the top to let the water in. Could you ask for more???

  19. Huw Thomas (verified owner)

Wonderful overshoes. Haven’t had a drop of water get through and they’re super warm. Perhaps even too warm when the temperature hits around 10 degrees. Careful with putting your foot down, like with all overshoes, and avoid contact with the ground. Very reasonably priced.

  20. Nick Topley (verified owner)

For the money there is nothing better.Superb quality, snug and waterproof. Fantastic.

  21. Jonny Weir

Seriously quality product. Worn in the wet and in temperatures around zero they have kept my feet toasty and dry. With size 11 feet the XL fits snuggly, and the gap on the sole leaves plenty of room to clip in without interference. They beat anything else on the market that I have tried and their price blows the competition out of the park.

    Wore for 1st time Sunday

    Depart ergofit overshoes
    Would highly recommend
Like all Galibier products excellent value & excellent quality
    I’m a UK size 8-9 & purchased size large

  23. Claire Humphris

Quality is good, but they do run very small. Order a size up.

  24. Marcus Fastman

Worn them for 2 months now, commuting, 7 miles each day. Fantastic quality and showing no wear and tear. Delighted.

  25. Simon (verified owner)

Seem to do the trick in a shower but wet will get through once the rain starts to hammer down. Wet actually appears to be coming through the seam where the neoprene and PU fabric meet. I have to admit that having worn them in temperatures under 5 degrees, my feet were numb. This was with merino wool socks on too. So definitely not the warmest option. Construction of the overshoes seem great. Time will tell whether they hold up to excessive use through the Winter months.

  26. Rory Loughran (verified owner)

Worn twice so far, great snug fit and warm feet, quality materials, good extra cleat space in this model. Robust zip and safe reflective strip to back. Very well constructed product at a very reasonable price, sure to do me many winters.
