I have done 4/5 60 mile plus rides in these and I find them so comfortable. Great pad as well and I’m sure I’ll have no problems doing a 100 mile ride in these. Used them in 2/3 degrees and felt warm. I’m 6ft, 180lbs and a 34in waist, so the large was a good fit for me. First piece of Galibier clothing, very happy. I’ll defo be looking to build my Galibier collection for sure.

Wore these in -2 this morning and they were great, kept the muscles warm and the pedals turning, Great to have the side cargo pocket and as per my other jacket review for the price they are a no brainer. In fact, I’d say even at the SAME price as the brand I wont mention here, they compete brilliantly. Once again , Galibier knock it out of the park – my collection is starting to grow and so should yours be!

Great job. Have done about 500 winter km in them. Plenty warm from 3 or 4 degrees up. 6’3″ with 35″ inseam and XL perfect, probably stretch to another inch of inseam.
Have not done more than 3 hours but the pad is perfect so far.

Yet another quality piece of cycling attire from Galibier. Opted for these rather than the Mistral purely due the the fact I overheat so much on the bike. Chamois was top drawer and love the cargo pocket on the right leg.
Comfortable, warm and breathable. What more could you want. First class

Very warm and comfortable tights, have kept my legs warm down close to freezing. Great value for money and great service too from Galibier. I’m 5’11, 85kg and the large is a good fit.

About 15 years ago when I was living in Melbourne, Australia I bought Assos Bib Tights (no chamois) – XL for those bleak cold days of winter. It has been a life saver on a number of occasions especially when we started riding in snow on a tour of the NSW snowy mountains. I have started to use it more often as I have got older but always thought is was on the large side. Now back in Sydney and while our winters aren’t bleak they can get down to 0c in the national parks. I have only test driven my medium size Energie a few times but so far I am very impressed. A lot better fit for my tall lean build (188cm / 75kg) and cut well to the shape of my skinny legs. Once riding I don’t really notice them which is always a good test of any kit. I am warm and comfortable. Very happy with my purchase.

Can’t fault these bib tights, I have used them for 1000+ miles over the winter and never been cold, very comfortable pad on them too for longer ride’s. Will definitely be getting more. 5ft9 and 185lb XL is perfect for me.

I have mine a month now and love them. I’m 6’1″ and ordered the XL. These are a snug tight but supportive fit. Zips at the ankles add to the finish for a easy on/off fit.

very good fit and well put together. Takes some work to get on if you have big calves, but once they’re on you forget about them. The chamois is very comfortable, probably the best I’ve used. Have yet to use much above 10°, but certainly not overheating. The quoted temperature range is about right, but even at around 5° I felt a slight chill around the waist area.I’m a 30″ waist, 5ft 8in, 11 stone and the small is a great fit.

Fantastic value when compared to the competitors. The pad is a dream and the service is second to none. These were my first Galibier purchase, I’m so pleased with these I don’t think I’ll need to use anyone else ever again.
I’m 5’8” and a medium was spot on.

No need to say to much but all the Galibier probably s are awesome, good quality and good value for money plus super fast delivery. Thanks

Ordered these late afternoon on NYE & they arrived this morning 02/01, along with a hand written New Year message!!
Always fast & efficient service from Galibier. No wind proofing in these tights so a little chilly heading out into a northerly wind in 1degree, but they are super soft & comfy and after about 5/6km I’d warmed up and was comfortable for the rest of the ride.
Didn’t waste time looking anywhere else or comparing prices, just ordered and like all my other items of Galibier kit I’m not disappointed!
Keep up the good work guys

I was given these as a present and I have to say these are the best pair of tights I’ve ever owned. Never felt cold, even during rides in the Scottish deep winter. I’m 183cm tall, 91cm waist and 95kg and the XL is a great fit.
Keep up the good work!

Just wow, amazing quality, been using these on early morning rides 5 to 10 degrees, never felt cold once and never over heated, also held up well in the rain showers even thou they are not waterproof, the material quality is great, the chamois is super nice been doing 50 mile rides and never got uncomfortable at all, I highly recommend these for the money, feels like they should be more expensive, I am 5 11″ and 34″ waist the large fits nice and snug and not tight, could possibly go for large, if you haven’t tried Galibier before you got to try their gear

My free bib tights (without chamois) arrived today after my name came out of the hat on an online Galibier Facebook draw. Given the Covid 19 restrictions, I probably won’t be giving them a good tryout until the autumn so I’ll just comment on the fit. I had agonised over medium or large when giving my details as I had previously found the Mistral tights to be a bit on the short side in medium. No such problems with the Energie Thermo as the medium fit was perfect for my 180cm and 68kilo frame. Nice and comfy too on the exercise bike in the back garden!

Bought the w/o bib version in December 2019 for €75. I’m 189cm tall and weigh around 75kg, size M fits me well. Bought this as a replacement of the Mistral bibs as the windproof layers was too stiff for my knees.
Build quality is very nice, lots of panels making for a very nice fit all around. Zippers around the ankles prevent too much stretching when putting the tights on. The material is a bit shiny, like lycra tends to be.
I would’ve preferred a bit of a thicker material. The roubaix lining is similar to thermal leg warmers with the benefit of them covering all of your legs and a double layer around your hips when you go w/o pad. Now the thermal properties are not too much better than standard leg warmers. I could ride with only these on to around 5 degrees Celsius. On the very cold freezing days I would put on extra leg warmers underneath. If the material was a bit thicker I could wear these throughout all of the Dutch winter.
Unfortunately the saddle I was using wore down parts of the bibs very quickly. If they finally go I’ll definitely take these in consideration again. 5 stars for thicker material.

Had for over a year now and I wear them every weekend for club rides through the winter and have even had a few spills in them. They are still in perfect working order even after the falls and a fair few washes. As expected from Galibier the pad is amazing (like sitting on a cloud) and the Roubaix lining is great at keeping my legs nice and toasty as the temperature plunges. I’m 5’10” and medium fits me like a glove.

Very good fit (size L, 5’10, 12st). Use over cycling shorts for club rides. Would recommend but need warmer pair for when temp <5'c. Overall very happy for majority of winter riding

Been meaning to review these for a while but I’ve now had a chance to test them in some foul Irish weather. Very warm and comfortable and great chamois. Easy to put on and warm enough for very cold and wet weather. Highly recommended

Superb service from Galibier as ever.

I have these bibs (avec chamois) as well as the Mistral bibs – I can really tell the difference between the two. I ride a lot on the North West England coast during winter months when the windchill factor can be significant on longer 3 to 6 hour rides.
These bibs are perfect for me above 7’c for extended rides, but just fine for an hour or two’s spin at 4 degrees and up – anything below that and the Mistrals come out to play.
Before signing off I must point out that the chamois in both bibs mentioned is first class and I now have 4 pairs of galibier bibs and can honestly say they are my favourite – I did have other favourites but they cost a lot more money (£140+) so these win hands down. Congrats on a great product.
I’m 5′ 10” and 90kg and XXL is perfect.

Great piece of kit! (Sans chamois) I’ve been living in these this winter. Over a pair of standard shorts these have kept me warm and comfortable for the last few months. Lots of commutes, training rides & club spins and they’re still holding up grand. Amazing value. Can’t recommend these enough.

It was 0c-32f when I stared out for my Sunday ride in central VA USA. The wind was about 10mph from the north so it was a good day to test the bibs out. They did the job of protecting from both the cold and the wind as I rode for 2.5 hours over hilly terrain.
I am a senior rider at 5’111″ and 175lbs. and the xl fit was perfect and padding okay.
I had tried another major brand at twice the cost and these are a much better fit and material feels great.
I am glad to have found this website and will be trying out other items soon.

Bought in December, without chamois, as I like my shorts as additional protection against the cold. They are not the warmest I have used, but are the best made and 10/10 for fit. So giving 5 stars but would recommend for training rides above freezing. Matt
