These were ordered as a gift for me – at my request and I have to say I am delighted with them. I wanted to wit until I’d tested them to ensure I was providing the best feedback and following a couple of decent rides – 50-60 miles, I feel I can now do that. These are without question the most comfortable bib shorts I’ve ever worn. I’ve always struggled to get a really comfortable chamois which hasn’t rubbed at some point in a ride but I’m pleased to say, I’ve found it in these shorts – no discomfort or chaffing at all and that’s both across road and gravel rides. If anything, at 5’11” and a 34″ waist I asked for the large, which whilst fit in most areas, I do find them a smidge on the short side on the bib straps, however, I can’t really feel that when in the ride position, it’s only when I stand up straight can I feel a bit of tightness. I will give the XL a try when I order my next set though as I do feel they won’t be too big. The quality is excellent and I went for the longer leg as it’s a preference for me and extremely good value for money given what you can sometimes pay with other more well known brands. As always with Galibier, service was first class and I love the nice little personal touch in the package as well, really makes you feel valued as a customer. I highly recommend giving Galibier kit a try, I don’t think you’d be disappointed. I’m certainly not.

1st ride out today for a 50 miler and the bib shorts are extremely comfortable with a nice amount of compression on the thighs.

I don’t often spend the time reviewing products online, but these totally deserve it! I have always used Castelli and have been rather happy with them, unless it is more that 4hr ride – when I would always have some pain and rash after. Not with these ones though! Recently did 7 and 6 hour rides and my bum felt like I was sitting on the sofa all day! Absolutely brilliant bibs. And for the price – steal! 10/10

I’ve been out with these 4 times now so it’s time for a review. The longest ride was 5 hours and I only felt any mild discomfort after 3 hours, which was fine as I needed a break anyway.
Nice firm pad, but very comfortable. The material throughout is very high quality, and is very breatheable with hardly any sweating.
I’m a shade under 6 foot tall, around 12 stone, 34 inch waist, and the large is a perfect fit, and just the right length.
Also, and very important, the front waist is just low and stretchy enough to facilitate a ‘comfort break’.
Galibier even included a free high quality pair of socks, also a perfect fit.

Ok, so let’s start by saying that all my bibs and cycling gear are Galibier so well done guys for great products. I started with the original Classique bibs, then moved to their Pro 7 Endurance as well and thought I would try these Equipe Aero. I have to say I think these are probably the best out of the lot of them. Whilst the others are all very good, these have that extra bit of comfort. Initially you look at the chamois and think it is not as good or thick as the others but somehow it seems to offer more comfort on the long rides. I have done about 500 km in them now and the fabric feels great too. Leg length is spot on and the general fit seems better as well. I am 170cm and 68 kg, medium fits like a glove however I think if I was 70kg it would probably be too tight.
Worth paying that bit more in my opinion, I am just about to purchase another pair.

I bought these in preparation for an event in August which would be a few hours on the bike. I wore them a few times before the event to make sure they fitted well and they do. I am 75Kg & 180cm tall and the medium were a nice fit. I find the pad very comfy, they have had a few washes and still seem in good condition. They performed very well for my particular road event and I enjoy the fit of them. I think the Galibier kit is all very good, excellent prices, fantastic service and overall very happy with the products, to the stage that a lot of my regular cycling kit is now Galibier kit.

I had managed to pick up a pair of Assos shorts when a LBS closed down and was curious how the Galibier Equipe Aeros would compare. First impressions after 115km this morning was extremely well. They were every bit as comfortable, look great and cost little more than half the price of the half-priced Assos pair. The free gift was, as always, appreciated as was the fact that the Euro price worked out less than that advertised on the website due to a favourable PayPal exchange rate.
The medium size was a perfect fit for my 67kg, 175cm tall and 80cm waist.

Unfortunately Im not inpressed with the shorts, leg grippers not tight on the legs, kinda loose. The shorts themselves feel lumpy on the saddle. 50k or so and Start to feel uncomfortable,
After my first few rides I emailed Galibier for some after sales advice. I got no response at all.

After trawling the Internet for a new pair of bibs for about 2 weeks I finally came across the Equipe Aroes, and after reading all the stellar reviews and taking into account these things are only £73 I bit the bullet and made my first order with Galiber, I was deliberating large or medium but decided to go with the size guide (went for the medium I’m 5’7, 31′ waist 30′ inseam) received them the next day! Along with a jersey, socks and they threw in a free cap (thanks for that!) tried the whole kit on, and everything fitted perfectly. Been on a few rides out now and I’ve got absolutely no complaints! Unfortunately I had to return the Equipe Aero bib shorts, as the legs are much too wide at the base for my thigh width and so do not grip, but leave a considerable gap. Big shame as I think otherwise they would fit very well and the chamois looks excellent. I have had this issue with other manufacturers shorts lately as the current fashion seems to be for shorts to have longer leg lengths, and I have seem to have fairly skinny thighs. I wore the Galibier Mistral bib tights right through last winter and they were the best I ever had, so disappointed that these just don’t fit my physique. As ever, quality looks excellent.

I used them today on a very cold winter’s day with the sun shining and I wore merino legwarmers. All in all very comfortable over my first 3 hour tryout ride. Excellent value also. Couldn’t tell much difference in comfort from Pro5 and Peletons, both good but these are better. Good intro deal for existing customers but even at full price they are well worth it. Better fit in medium for my 30w and 5’10h, pad is very good and top notch construction. These are equal to my top end Vermarc PPR for long distance rides… I’ll be sure to use for the big audax events. If looking for shorts for 7 hour plus rides, these are it!
