Sizing guide
The garment is designed to be neat fitting and only requires a thin base layer next to the skin. These are new generation fabrics, so we need to reconsider how we dress for conditions. This needs no extra layering in wind or rain. If you want a looser fit or plan to wear more garments underneath, please size up.
“Im 34 waist and 42 chest and the XL was a Great fit”– Mark
If in-between sizes, size up as race fit. Designed for only a light base layer

Garment Care
Washing instructions are printed on a white tag inside each piece of clothing. Following these instructions will help make sure that your gear will last as long as possible. Careful washing and maintenance will ensure the highest performance from your Galibier products and extend their useful life span.
- Always read the care label before washing a piece of clothing.
- Close all zips and Velcro fasteners and turn the garment inside out.
- Hand or machine wash on a lukewarm permanent press cycle (max. 30°C / 86°F)
- Use a small amount of liquid or powder detergent, not other products that contain fabric softeners, conditioners, stain removers or bleach as they will affect garment performance.
- Hang dry or dry flat. Do not tumble dry.

In effect, this is a combined review of the GT jacket and GT gilet.
Me : 185 cms /87 cm waist…84kgs. Between L and XL but plumped for XL as it is a winter/cool weather garment and the larger size allows layering.
First impressions: I like the colour, feel and styling detail of the material. Combined with the Grand Tour Gilet the ensemble cuts quite a dash. The silky smooth material highlights ‘good living’, (had to hold my belly in). Jacket is so svelte that I had doubts that it would be warm enough.
Wore jacket today for first time with Mistral bibs tights for 100 kms steady ride . Layered up with 200mg merino LS baselayer, Grand Tour gilet, buff and Tourmalet packable jacket. Average temperature 5 degrees, but was zero at 8 a.m . After 15kms had to remove packable jacket as I was too warm even though it was still chilly. The Tourmalet jacket fits perfectly into the middle pocket of the gilet. Had we had ridden more aggressively, I would have been over-dressed.
The jacket and gilet both have capacious chest pockets with good quality zips which I managed to operate wearing Barrier gloves. They both have plenty of rear pocket storage too.
The combination was perfect for today’s cold, dry conditions.
In conclusion, the kit looks and feels super. It performed very well in the conditions as described above. Only time will tell regarding longevity, but if previous purchases from Galibier are a guide, then I have little to worry about.

Purchased as a Christmas present to me, today was the first time I’ve got to use it (been using the excellent Mistral Pro 2 on colder rides). Temperature was about 8 degrees but felt colder due to the wind, but with only a Barrier base layer underneath – the GT was perfect. No hint of wind getting in, didn’t get sweaty despite the climbs and only unzipped on the final ascent. Really well made, but the middle rear pocket is a bit narrow. Side ones are great. Chest pocket useful for keys.
I’m a 46” chest and 3XL fits really nicely.

I bought one at the launch in the early Autumn and it doesn’t clam up, even when climbing or riding hard with the chaingangs on the last few Sunday spins. The two back panels are made of a lighter fabric, so I’m sure this helps. I would say it is more suited to Spring and Autumn rather than a full Winter jacket needed backed up with a gilet. The chest pocket fits my iphone13 nicely. Really delighted with the purchase.
