I ordered this very much as a last-minute thing prior to riding Land’s End to John O’Groats in September 2022. I was hoping to buy a regular Izoard but they were sold out, with no plans to restock any time soon. The Izoard Pro gilet turned out to be my most favourite, most-used piece of clothing. I’m usually a Medium in most jerseys (5’8″, 65kg, 38″ chest), and the Medium Izoard Pro fit perfectly, albeit a bit snuggly (stretchy, though). It was windproof, cool in hot weather and warm in cold, windy weather. LEJOG involves many sections of rolling uppy-downy hills, and I really appreciated the ease with which I could quickly zip/unzip one-handed (from maybe halfway down; any lower took either two hands or a lot of fiddly one-handed wiggling). I used the chest pocket to hold my daily route notes, and the back pocket for anything from my phone to a light waterproof jacket or other light objects. Perhaps the only gripe I had was with the rear pocket zips, which were a bitfiddly. Overall, though, I was completely chuffed that I hit the “Buy” button. I was planning to also buy the regular Izoard when the new version comes in, but now I’m not really sure I need to!

This is a very nice gilet. The stretchy sidepanels give me a little mixed feelings. They make sure you get a good fit. That’s a big plus. But with a strong sidewind (5 bft) they let in some cold. But I expect that is no problem with a little less wind.
I had some doubts about the low neck, that that would be chilly, but with a good buff it appeared to be very comfortable.
Recommended peace of kit!

An awesome gilet. Perfect for early morning spins (below 10°). I wore this on a long climb; didn’t overheat on the way up, felt warm on the way down. It’s also really smart looking. The only reason it’s not getting 5 stars, is the back pocket is a faff to get open/shut, especially with gloves on.
A nearly perfect gilet

I already own the standard Izoard Gilet, so questioned whether I really needed the pro version as well, but I’m very glad I did. While the standard is great to wear, especially for more casual rides and trips to the shop by bike etc, the pro is just that bit better for a more spirited ride, it just feels slightly more racy so that you notice it less when you’re riding, probably the lower collar and area at the front without insulation that help with this.
Lovely and warm on some of the chillier days we’ve had so far but seems to deal with heat that little bit better too.
I ordered the black (although I’m considering an orange as well just because I love the colour) and the quilting stitching is white/grey rather than black, not that this is a problem, I think it makes the pattern stand out better. As a plus, it also squeezes into a 1L drybag which I can then fit to a frame strap on the bike for times when I know I’m probably going to need it but don’t want it the whole time.
sizing as ever seems pretty spot on, I’d happily recommend (and have done)

Well, the Izoard PRO Gilet arrived this morning, and despite being a little too warm for it today, (12 degrees and I run hot)I just had to try it out. And it is – excellent.
So stylish: I went for black and it oozes, well… er…, style. Really good race fit (as usual Galibier sizing is spot on). I’m 178cm and 106cm chest and the fit is very close to body without being constricting. Stretchy side panels and bottom of front help this.
Quality is excellent. It’s lovely and lightweight, you won’t notice you’re wearing it, material, stitching and zip seem first-class. Nice reflective details along zip and on rear.
Don’t think this is mentioned, but there is also a small pocket inside the front left-hand side of jacket.
I already have the more insulated Izoard quilted gilet (also excellent, in large) which I have found fits perfectly over the PRO. As we are currently restricted to enjoying a pint outside pubs at the moment, I shall be taking both this week, the PRO for the ride and the quilted to wear over the former, post-ride, while I sup my pint.
Another super, good value product from Galibier.
Cheers!
