Description

Experience the warmth and style of the Izoard gilet – designed to be your go-to layer both on and off your bike this winter. The Izoard, constructed using a high denier, super-soft Nylon shell, boasts the same comfort as mountaineering sleeping bags. This ensures a feather-light feel without compromising on insulation.

The unique reversible design showcases a bronze inner face, reinforced with Mylar, reflecting heat to offer unmatched warmth. To ensure a perfect fit and regulate body temperature, the gilet integrates side panels made from a recycled, high-stretch Super-Roubaix® fabric. The core protection is amplified with the incorporation of 35g/m ActiveSport® recycled insulation that retains its efficiency even when damp, ensuring windproof and showerproof defense.

For enhanced visibility during low-light conditions, the gilet features 3M reflective details on the front zip and rear sides. Functionality meets convenience with an expansive rear pocket that can store all your essentials, accessible from both sides. Plus, you’ll find dual chest pockets, ensuring your valuables are secure, whether you’re donning the Black or Bronze side.

Having evolved since its initial launch in 2018, the Izoard 3.0 now flaunts a C0 DWR coating for added water resistance and has been upgraded with YKK Vislon zippers for enhanced durability and ease of use.

I got bought one of these for a Christmas present and I’ve worn it on every ride since then! It’s one of those bits of kit that I never quite thought I needed but now wouldn’t be without it. Mainly because I love being toasty warm (who doesn’t) and this does just that without overheating. I would have given five stars were it not for a small problem which is the zip on the side pockets often gets stuck while unzipping, it snags on the inner lining to the point where I actually have to stop, take off my gloves and fiddle around with it to get it undone, so I try to remember not to put anything I need to be accessible in them. Could be something to consider for the next version, also a little stuff bag wouldn’t go amiss. Aside from that, love it.

First time buyer of Galibier and very impressed with the quality of this gilet…having bought Rapha for a number of years this Izoard insulated Gilet is an excellent product and tremendous value…bought for on and off the bike this looks and feels like a quality garment…light, packable and sizing medium spot on with plenty room for a base layer and jersey on 179kg…38 chest….will definitely check out other gear in time.

  3. Ross (verified owner)

Typical exceptional quality from Galibier ! Size M is perfect for me, 38 chest, 6ft and 75kg. Keeps you warm without becoming stifling, large zip pockets perfect for phones, snacks and assorted cycling crap. Love the black for keeping it stealthy and the copper for standing out from the crowd. If you’re thinking about buying, stop thinking and just go ahead and get it!

[This review is for the new, Gen 3 Izoard]
I had hoped to purchase this gilet for riding LEJOG in September, but they were sold out. I ended up buying the Izoard Pro, which I wasn’t too keen on, but ended up being perfect for that ride. Because I’d had in mind to originally buy the regular Izoard, I couldn’t resist the “Buy” button when I saw they had new ones in store.
When it arrived today, I wasn’t disappointed. The Medium fits me perfectly (I am 5’8″ 65kg, 38″ chest and 32″ waist). It has a slightly relaxed fit, but is still snug. It fits perfectly over two layers (baselayer and fleece) and will be ideal for casual wear off the bike and also for riding. The zips run very smoothly and (not mentioned in the description) the Gen 3 has TWO chest zip pockets – one inside, one outside. Amazingly, as it’s cheaper than the Pro, it is reversible – though I’m not 100% keen on the bronze reflective colour (I would have preferred the orange that the previous version had). It has a nice long tail at the back for riding, but not so long that it looks daft when worn with regular clothing. Notably, the rear pocket is actually two pockets, as it is divided in the middle – so it’s not the cavernous single pocket in the item description. That doesn’t bother me too much but if you are looking for a single, big rear pocket for maps or similar, the Pro might be a better choice. I’m absolutely chuffed with the sizing and quality of the new Izoard. Below are some important Izoard vs. Izoard Pro differences, if you are swithering between the two:
Pro is snugger and probably therefore more suited to road riding with Lycra shorts; regular Izoard is better if you want something to also wear casually off the bike. During LEJOG, I wore it often during constant drizzle and it never really soaked through (water-resistant, but not completely waterproof). I won’t be wearing the regular Izoard outside until spring, so can’t comment on its functionality on the bike.
Pro has no collar, regular Izoard has a collar. This wasn’t as big a deal as I thought it would be, as when I wore it on the bike during LEJOG, I didn’t even notice it. In comparison, though, the Pro does look a bit less stylish if you wear it with regular clothing.
Overall, if you’re looking for a dual-use gilet (on- and off-bike), the regular Gen 3 Izoard is best but if you are just wanting an on-the-bike gilet, the Pro is best, and particular best-suited if you wear Lycra gear (if you’re a gravel rider, regular Izoard is probably better, being more relaxed fit).

Brought this last year for autumn/winter, have used it on loads of rides on cold/ freezing early mornings, long rides and rainy rides, and it’s been great, fits great, doesn’t feel cumbersome and it’s so light, folds up just enough to fit in jersey pocket, I see lots of cyclists in expensive gear and smile

  6. Gareth Wells (verified owner)

This is one of my favourite garments for cycling, going to the shops, walking the dog and house everyday wear. I’ve had this several months and it’s just finished it’s first Winter here in Scotland and met every challenge. I won’t say Autumn, Winter and Spring as the seasons that aren’t Winter don’t exist here. Washes very well and I’ve proofed with Grainger’s to keep it shower/spray resistant.

Bought L and I’m a 6’3, 85kg guy. Perfect fit. Somehow manages to be neither baggy or skinsuit. Just right. I wear mine black for civvies, go orange with club kit (black, blue and orange!).

  7. tkqpr (verified owner)

Absolute quality Gilet, reversibl3e is great for being on the bike (orange) with chest pocket and i run in it (blue) which aslo has a chest pocket. Love the neck as its a turtle neck but not tight at all yet keeps the warm in and wind out. Chest pocket big enough for Apple 12 Pro Max. Stretch sides so never feels tight or baggy. Im 6ft 1in tall and 40in chest, i thought i might need the Large but went for a medium and was well pleased with it, i wouldn’t of wanted it any bigger, its just perfect and great value. Well done Galibier, im tempted on the Izord now…hmmmmm.

  8. Daryl Till (verified owner)

First time using Galibier as I usually bought Rapha products but don’t think I will be in future. Amazed at the quality and speed of delivery and all the nice little touches like the leaflets and packaging I even got a handwritten note telling me to “ride safe” which I thought was a lovely personal touch.Very well done to an outstanding company xx.

  9. kevin low (verified owner)

Bought a medium for my slightly under 40inch chest and it fits nicely over my Barrier base layer and Roubaix jersey which are both large. Does a lovely job of keeping me snug and warm. Another quality garment.

  10. Kevin Russell Smith (verified owner)

I’ve been well and truly bitten by the gravel bug and wanted a gilet for autumn / winter / early spring use. This garment is perfect. If you layer up properly, this will keep your core toasty. Even in light rain it’s still enough protection. I would unreservedly recommend this! It’s a “must have” cycling garment in my opinion.

  11. Stuart

Excellent fit, 40 chest, 31 waist @ 71kg wearing a medium. Fits well under or over Perfetto tops! Love the colour and styling

  12. Graham Ferguson (verified owner)

Great quality gilet, it is so light yet so well constructed with the stretchy side-panels ensuring a good fit that won’t allow air in.

I was glad they had my size as lockdown has turned me into a bit of a chunky-monkey, getting back in the saddle should help mitigate this – especially with good clothing like this to keep out the Scottish elements. Very comfortable to wear, and it looks really smart.

    Ride safe all.

  13. Andy Turner (verified owner)

I’ve had this for a while now and it’s a fantastic bit of kit. Great fit, the chest pocket is perfect to pop your phone in, the wind protection is top notch and it just feels comfortable. I’m 6ft2″ with a 50″ chest and the XXXL is a great fit. Another brilliant product from Galibier

  14. Beverley (verified owner)

Yet another fantastic product from Galibier. the gilet is toast warm, but is so lightweight, and so not bumphly and uncomfortable. A really excellent buy

  15. Carl Dempsey (verified owner)

Superb bit of kit. Ordered on Saturday night, in my hands in Ireland Wednesday morning – great service too. Took it out for a test ride today – 100K in the wind and the rain. At first I stowed the gilet and wore a waterproof layer over the Castelli Perfeto jacket I used in foul weather (It’s water resistant but not waterproof). I decided to test the “it performs even when wet” claim and rode for 70K with the gilet over the jacket. I was toasty warm, no wind got in even though riding into a headwind. Love it.

I’m 175 cm tall, 74KG, 38cm chest, 36cm waist. I got the medium and it’s definitely snug on. I was worried walking around but once on the bike it’s perfect. I wore it over a summer jersey and the Castelli jacket.

  16. david huxtable (verified owner)

Firsr of all let me say that I have other Galibier items,ie overshoes, bib shorts and tourmelet jacket so I was not worried about quality as they have all performed well over the last 2-3 years.
I chose the medium,I am 1.73cm,75kg,39″chest,no belly and the medium fits snug but not tight over a warm base layer. With the stretchy sides I suspact that I could also wear a mid layer.
Worn three times in the last two weeks in the dry/coolish weather and it’s kept me nice and warm.Very lightweight and no flapping around the shoulders which I have found on other gilets.

  17. Stephen Clarke (verified owner)

I wanted to wait a few months before posting this review. I have to say that this top is brilliant I tend to run cold and have found this top to be versatile, light and warm and also looks great. I have several Galibier products and have always found them excellent value for money.

  18. barrylad66 (verified owner)

I’ll keep it short and sweet but I’m very happy with it. Well made and looks great on and off the bike. For sizing I’m 5’9 with a 38″ chest and after advice the medium was a perfect fit.
    Thanks galibier.

  19. FG (verified owner)

Warm yet light, a great gillet that can pack small enough to carry on any cycle to put on when stopping at a café to keep warm, or if the temperature dips while cycling.
Packs down very small which is great, but needs to come with a small compression bag to allow it to be carried when its packed as small as possible. without this, its too difficult to squeeze into a jersey pocket or saddlebag. I ended up using a little compression bag that came with another jacket

  20. Corrinne Patrick (verified owner)

I have worn this for the first time this week. Super light, super warm, super comfy and washes superbly, all in all a superb bit of kit
Love the little touch of handwritten card that came with it.

  21. Jim Colville (verified owner)

received this week, tried out for morning ride – really pleased, worn over spring jersey, keeps you warm and then rolls down to a size that can fit in a back pocket. Size XL, i’m 6’2″, 42″ chest, 92 KG – fit is perfect, nice and snug. not sure if I would have got away with a L, but think I chose correctly. elasticated sides are excellent to keep the fit snug.

  22. Rob Green (verified owner)

Top bit of kit, very happy with it. Helps stay warm on chilly descents but lightweight to unzip on climbs. Love the orange/black reversible design. Small size fits perfectly, I’m a slim 72kg/5’11”

  23. Craig Scott (verified owner)

Talk about value for money!! Having used other ‘premium’ brands, I wanted to find the holy grail of cycling clothing, good fit, comfort, quality and performance without having to sell a kidney.
Chapeau to the guys at Galibier, bought this Gilet along with some 3/4 bibs and really happy I did. I think it’s time to freshen up the cycling wardrobe!

  24. Fat Mamil (verified owner)

Wow. This thing is amazing! So very warm, looks great and fits perfectly (just follow the size guide). My morning commute has been about -2°C lately and this gilet has been a life saver. I wear it over a Castelli Perfecto with a long sleeved base layer and I have never been so comfortable. My only, very tiny criticism is the zips on the rear pocket. They unzip perfectly single handed but you’ll need two hands to zip them up again. Hardly worth mentioning as this body warmer is awesome.

  25. StevoM (verified owner)

Worn for first time today… Bitterly cold freezing temps but windchill made it -6 or so. I popped it on over my winter cycling jersey… Was almost too warm, would work over a Roubaix and base layer in these temps. Worn it orange side out and looks mint. The zip is nice and easy to use, just opened it on big climbs and closed on descending. Essential jacket especially cold dry days. I have way too much kit but this is a little different and very functional. I do larger rides 100-300km so being warm on stops or lower speeds at end of day is appreciated… This is something I should have bought sooner. Size advice was perfect. I’m 31 waist, 36 chest and 5’10. Small was a brilliant fit and not too tight, no gaps to let cold air in. Definitely should be in everyones wardrobe!

  26. Chris (verified owner)

Really impressed with this gilet. The size guide was spot on. Price can’t be beaten and it feels great. Highly recommend!

  27. Ian (verified owner)

This is so warm! I have worn it nearly everyday at home and on the bike it keeps your core warm even if it gets a bit wet! Well done Galibier!

  28. Sean Hayes (verified owner)

When it usually comes to clothing I fall very much into the category of price is always way down the list. Performance and durability, coming from a mountaineering/climbing background, and having worked in the outdoor sports industry for 20 years, are far more important to me, and I’d usually spend 3 times as much on a gilet from a niche Canadian brand. I’ve been using Gabier overshoes and a few other accessories for a few years so I thought at this price I’d take a punt.
You guys need to put your prices up!!
Sure a YKK zip (Vislon #3 would be great great ha!), or some minor stitching details, or a tiny change to the pattern wouldn’t go amiss, but the fabrics, the finish, the fact theres room in the collar when fully zipped up, the reflective details, this is an incredible piece of kit! How much? Already thinking of buying a second one…

  29. Darrell Austin (verified owner)

love it. I weigh about 177 lbs (80kg) and 6’ 2” (187 cm) and I got the L and it fits well. The stretch side panels work great to keep the gilet close against your body and provide lots of give for movement. It’s very toasty and comfortable.

  30. Chris (verified owner)

Wish I had got one of these before, love it! Plumped for an XL (I’m 5’11”, 87kg, 43”chest athletic build) and it fits perfectly with room to layer up thanks to the stretchy side panels. Super light and really comfortable to wear. As others have said it looks great and definitely good for on and off the bike. It was also a pleasure buying from Galibier, lovely company with personal touches that make the difference. Thank you!

  31. Mike Prytherch (verified owner)

Wow… brilliant, it is too nice to ride in.

I wanted a gilet to keep me warmer than my current selection, I already own a Mistral Jacket which I love so I plumbed for this, and I am so glad I did, the quality is excellent and the fit is perfect for me, as a larger guy there isn’t much cycling gear that fits me and the 3XL is perfect, it looks classy and more importantly, performs brilliantly, although, it is so nice I don’t want to get it dirty which is a real problem for winter roads, I might have to buy another for casual wearing.

  32. Andy

Excellent piece of kit, perfect for cold days. Im 5’8″, 78kg 40″ chest and Medium is a perfect fit over one layer.

  33. hugh suffern (verified owner)

excellent product, well fitted and high class quality. It arrived within two days of ordering, beautifully presented. This gilet punches well above its weight and is comparable with other much more expensive products.

  34. CHRIS BROWN (verified owner)

This is a superb addition to my cycling clothing. I bought it a while ago but first time out was today. It is very warm and keeps your core at the right temperature. Sizing was perfect, I love the advice you get from Myles, he is always spot on with the sizing recommendations. Slowly replacing all my kit with Galibier

  35. Nick Gerhardt

Opened this yesterday from my wife & im chuffed!! Just like the other Galibier items I have it feels top quality & fit is perfect for me. Then Anna tells me she contacted you guys to get some advice on whether it would be the right thing to take to the Italian Alps in June (If the pandemic allows) and said you responded to her quickly and were really helpful. Love what you do and how you trade & hope you have a successful & healthy 2021, keep up the great work!

  36. Dave P (verified owner)

I can not recommend this Gillette highly enough. I’ve been caught out at night in very cold weather in a massive rainstorm and this little beauty kept me snug as a bug. It let the water in but nothing could of stopped that amount!! Sizing and fit is perfect both on and off the bike. Another great product

  37. Young Lee (verified owner)

    Size L : 176cm 88kg, muscular build 33″ waist 42″ chest

    Was perfect fit for me.
I usually wear Castelli XL for snug fit and was in between L/XL for this gilet, but the side elastic panel stretches nicely to give comfy but snug fit.

I like the size of the collar as well, plenty of room to breath and doesn’t choke me down unlike some brands.

Went out for test ride at night at 1 degrees celsius with LS baselayer and Mistral Foul Weather Jacket.
It kept my core really warm and retained heat extremely well.
After about 15 mins of ride, I didn’t feel the cold at all.
Did total of 1:20 ride, and towards the end I felt little too hot and had to unzip the gilet on the way back.

Only complaint is the double sided main zipper was little too small to operate with thick glove on, same with the rear zippers, it was near impossible to zip back up on the bike. But I suppose stopping for a while won’t do any harm in winter rides.

Front chest pocket was big enough for my 6.7″ size phone with cover (horizontally)

I was in search for a padded gilet for a long time and this gilet just does everything I was looking for. Very happy.

  38. Ed Wrench (verified owner)

If you’re a lover of gilets then the Izoard at £48 is a no brainer! Having purchased a quilted/ insulated jacket from a UK premium cycling brand, I was pretty underwhelmed with its performance. This however ticks all the boxes…. Fits true to size (80kg, 5ft 8″ 40″ chest, 30″ waist – Medium), packable, pockets which are fit for purpose and significantly it is warm! As a transitional piece of kit, wearing off the bike makes it a great allrounder. So much so I would purchase again if other colour options were available.

  39. davidmcc07 (verified owner)

This is my 6th item I bought since I found this brand during the summer. Quality stuff. Size large fits well. I’m 12 stone, 40in chest and 30 in jeans. Snug, not to tight with some room underneath.

  40. Wes (verified owner)

Great fit, well made, packs down really small. Nice enough to use both on and off the bike. The brighter colour for darker rides is a big plus.
I’m 5ft 8, 11 stone, 30 inch waist (37 inch chest) and the small is perfect.

  41. Stephen Carr (verified owner)

Bought an XL for my 42 inch chest- I could have gone for a large as in between chest sizes, but as I have a slight middle aged spread the XL is a perfect slim fit. I have been reluctant to try it out as the gilet looks great with jeans ! Anyway, no flapping, lovely and warm- I wore it over a long sleeve core jersey and when it reached 14c I had to unzip it a bit as it’s quite warm. But the sun went in ( as it does in Northumberland) and the temperature dropped to 11c and the gilet was perfect. Kept a couple of bars in the long rear pocket – I like that pocket – they were held above waist level and didn’t move about or catch the saddle. It feels good quality and well stitched. My iPhone XR fits in the chest pocket, result! I paid the extra for tracked delivery so I could be in- which came in 3 days, but I didn’t receive any way to track it so next time I’ll just select normal postage. Only a minor thing though. I also got a nice freebie included – thanks Galibier! Nice touch. Will be back for some more gear soon now I have ‘discovered’ you.

  42. Mark Lagan (verified owner)

Arrived in two days with free shipping. Amazing quality gilet which is even better than in the pictures. Have worn it on climbs and descents and although it’s a little warm when climbing (basically every jacket is) it’s a godsend on the Downhills and in the wind. The fact that it also looks good off the bike meant I didn’t look too silly going for a post ride pint either

  43. Gravel Grinder Geear (verified owner)

Not yet had an opportunity to use on the bike but first impressions:
Sizing: Excellent. I’m a 42inch chest, 87kg, 178cm in height and large fits perfectly. Certainly not tight, but just the great close fit I wanted.
Quality: Again is excellent, soft/silky shell, main zip works fine as do those on rear.
Features: reflective material on front zip and down each side of rear is reassuring. ‘Galibier’ motif is very smart, useful Napolean pocket on chest (both sides) and super to have the versatility of a reversible colour jacket to wear on or off bike. Nice height collar. Weight: 208 grams on my scale so very lightweight and just about packable in your jersey rear pocket. I run very hot so intend to use on my cold winter night rides with just a jersey or base-layer. My first purchase from Galibier but very pleased and will be looking closely at the rest of their range.

  44. TJ (verified owner)

This is yet another high quality, well-made and well-designed piece of cycling kit from Galibier in my view, it seems that nothing has been overlooked in its design and although I received mine on the hottest day of the year so far and haven’t been able to try it out in anger yet, I’m already sure it’s up to the job. Some here have mentioned it’s genuinely wearable off the bike (try doing that with bib shorts) – and it is, it looks good. O and the chest pocket is surprisingly big, you can get a lot in there.
I’m 5ft10, with a 109cm chest and weigh 85kg – and as advised above size XL fits me perfectly. As I’ve found to be the case with all the Galibier garments I’ve bought, this gilet has surpassed all my expectations at a price that’s truly remarkable – it’s cheap ONLY in price. Now what else do I need…

  45. Sonja Fenwick (verified owner)

I bought this Gilet when it first came out,it’s lovely and warm. I got the Large size which i have worn but it’s a bit big on me,(i am normally a ladies size 14 on top) i have given it to my hubby who also loves your stuff and i’ll order the Medium for myself as they are such good quality and quite smart. We will soon be all matching x

  46. Bobby McGlade (verified owner)

Quality is excellent as is the fit, snug and comfortable. A great piece of cycling clothing but equally at home as a walking gilet or part of layer system in colder weather. I will be wearing this as casual clothing in addition to cycling. Great buy.

  47. Elaine Dey (verified owner)

As with all Galibier garments this is fantastic quality. The material feels soft and the stretchy side panels ensure it is a perfect fit. Classy enough to wear off the bike and easily fits over my Rapha winter jersey when the weather changes. I am 5’4″ and about 70kg…..medium is perfect for me.

  48. Bernard Cunningham

Received my gilet as a gift, I must say I didn’t expect it to be so warn, it’s a really good garment.

  49. Bigplate Lineout

Magnificent garment both on and off the bike. Ingenious design

  50. Rory Loughran (verified owner)

Love this item. Wear it casually as its pretty smart black side and sporty orange side. Actually feels like you are getting two garments for one. Super lightweight and warmth beyond its volume. Very highly recommended

Received my gilet this morning. Another one for the collection – have to say I am delighted with this gilet. Well designed, great fit, nice contrasting colour combination. Overall it’s quite fantastic – great price too.

  53. raymondo3 (verified owner)

i never really got to grips with gilets, they always felt compromised in someway..then the offer of this for less than £40..the fit is excellent..warm enough down to zero, superb at negating wind chill too, the “orange” side is smart and stands out in the murk of winter,,the real surprise is how unrestrictive it feels when pushing yourself..i truly hate winter riding, but i’m enjoying it a fair bit more cos of this

  54. Simon Bailey (verified owner)

Used this 1/2 a dozen times now. Really impressed, this punches well above its price point. Keeps your core warm on a cold day and the cut is spot on. Im 6ft 4, 42” chest and its an ideal fit. No flapping, but not restrictive either. You can also wear it off the bike. My 3rd Galibier purchase and i’ll be back for more.

  55. Paul Callan (verified owner)

Just got it today and am swanning around in it in my house. Roll on a rideable day. Looks great and fits great.

  56. Ian Dunn (verified owner)

Ordered this gilet along with a jacket on Sunday evening. They amazingly turned up on Tuesday! The jacket in a medium was a great fit and excellent quality. The gilet was great quality but I ordered the large and it was too big. On Wednesday I posted the gilet back to exchange for a medium. Tonight (Friday) I got in from work and my new gilet had arrived. I have just been out and done 25k with temperatures down to 1 degree and can say that with the mistrial pro jacket and this gilet, I have never been so warm and comfortable in cold weather. The products are outstanding, the service is the best I have ever received on-line. Thank you so much to all at Galibier, I will be back.

  57. allistermac53 (verified owner)

Really enjoying this gilet! Wear it mostly on a daily basis as its so warm and comfortable. Perfect for use while hand cycling as its splash proof and arms have freedom of movement. Folds up to fit inside a pocket for when it gets too warm.

I love it. I cycle along Portobello promenade (Edinburgh)6 days a week and I recently purchased the gilet to keep out the cold wind blowing across the sea. I am 5’11 and ~ 83kg. The Large fits like a glove and it really does keep the wind out. I am fairly new to cycling and I have only just started to venture down the worm hole of trying to identify good quality cycling gear at a raeasonable price that also looks good. Galibier certainly ticks all 3 boxes for me and I am sure I will be returning for further clothing as the seasons unfold.

Quality item. Using it on daily commutes for a few weeks now, as still chilly in the mornings. Keeps core nice and warm without overheating.
I have worn this as casual (non-bike) wear on a few occasions too and it works great for that too. Doesn’t scream “cyclist”, and looks very smart.
As per usual with Galibier it’s quality at a very reasonable price.

What a great piece of kit! Had mine for a few weeks now, has not failed to keep me warm and comfortable on cold club runs and if you get too hot if easily packs down to fit in a jersey pocket. Plus I’ve worn it a few times ‘off bike’ and has drawn quite a few admiring comments – so a winning gilet on all counts. Opted for a size small (64.5kg/5’10”) and the Galibier sizing is spot on.

I have used this extensively since I bought it. It is very warm and breathable. I do like the fit as well. It looks good on the bike and off. My only gripe is that the arm holes are slightly too big, for a cyclists with spindly arms it can let draft in under the arms when wearing just a long sleeve windproof base layer. She I wore my long sleeves jersey over tue base layer with the gipet it was ok but stromg winds made it in a bit.

    Love this!
The temperature has now dropped in the mornings (Yorkshire) and this has been brilliant on the morning commutes. Great at keeping the core warm and stopping wind chill on descents. Can see this becoming my favorite cycling garment. Rolls up small enough to go in the back pocket for return journey if warmer.
Also looks good off the bike. Used it hiking in the Swiss Alps recently.

Used this for the first time on an over night 100 mile ride.
Rolls small enough to fit perfectly in the rear pockets of the Gino wind jacket.
Starting temp was around 17-19 degrees…but it dropped to around 2 degrees for a good few hours through the night. Would not have known the temp was so low.
Used over the Gino Wind Jacket and Mistral base layer, never felt the chill. Heard a few other riders wearing other brands say they were feeling cold or felt a chill on the decent and over night.

Hats off to the team at Galibier for another excellent product that would appear to out-perform other more expensive brands.

Often ridiculed for the amount of gilets I own, I now consider myself an expert in the field… In all seriousness this thing is awesome quality and real good value. It’s lightweight and whilst not tested in the coldest weather I can tell it’s going to be great. It looks good off the bike too, in fact i’m wearing it at work right now. Been after something like this for a while. Well done Galibier. Sizing chart is spot on. It’s definitely windproof, seems like it would be pretty waterproof too. Looks like it ticks all the boxes. I’m impressed.
