Discover the pinnacle of cycling shorts – the Regale bib shorts, meticulously crafted after a year of conceptualization to offer the ultimate riding experience.
Our groundbreaking integration of durable silicone gripper directly onto the lycra resulted in the creation of the Regale. This feature, combined with the ultra-fine 4-way stretch material, offers unparalleled comfort and range of motion. By eliminating the gripper seam and minimizing stitching, we’ve eradicated chafing, enhancing your overall riding experience. With the material’s compressive properties, pressure is evenly distributed, creating a feather-light touch against the skin. Designed with a longer leg, it seamlessly transitions to the skin due to the precise laser-cut edging.
The shorts are held firmly in place by the broad, seamless elastic brace bib, ensuring that the chamois pad stays anchored, thus optimizing comfort and reducing friction during pedalling. The EX2.0 chamois, a marvel in its own right, boasts a seamless profile with variable density, providing anatomical support ideal for riders averaging over 12 hours a week. Its design complements the pedalling motion and is best suited for race-oriented saddles and aero positions.
Crafted in Italy, these shorts adhere to the factory’s size chart and feature a compressive fit. If you’re wavering between sizes, we recommend sizing up.
Features:
- Chamois: Variable anatomic EX2.0
- Construction: One-piece, seamless bibs with integrated leg gripper and key area seamless construction

Sizing Notes:
- Handcrafted in Italy, these shorts follow the factory’s size chart, not ours.

- A medium offers a compressive fit for someone tall with a 31″ waist.

I’d normally go for a L in Castelli but, following the size guide on these, I went for XL. I’m 5′ 11″, weigh 12 stone, and have a 33″ waist. The legs on these are so tight that it’s actually very difficult to get them on. The pad is very comfortable; I did a 4 hour ride without problems. However, the body feels much bigger than the legs, and the straps are barely stretched. Overall, these are good quality shorts, but perhaps not the fit for me. I’m fairly slim, and I wouldn’t say I have particularly big thighs (most items of clothing I wear are slim fit), so I wouldn’t buy these again.

Decided to give the Regale shorts ago after reading the reviews and being a Galibier convert. Was not disappointed. They arrived the day after ordering, as previous reviews said they are quite compressive and without reading previous reviews I would have been tempted to return however a quick session on the trainer and the shorts felt great once used to the fit. 2nd time of wearing 120 mile ride from north to south wales. The shorts were brilliant so comfortable no hot spots. The hottest day of the year gave them an extra test, I couldn’t fault these shorts, another great product. Yes remember to size up as detailed 95kg,35″waist, 44″ chest xxl

These are lovely however as described, be sure to size up. I’m 5’11, 32 inch waist and large is snug. Not uncomfortably so, but could definitely not get into my usual medium. These are pretty long in the leg, which is just what I wanted, with zero issues with them riding up.

Bought a pair 6 months ago and went for these purely for the length. I have an issue with my hamstring and the extra coverage helps. Hands down the best shorts I’ve owned. The long grippers take a bit of adjusting and can be tough to pull up. Once on they don’t shift. The long grippers and the extra length are very handy for leg or knee warmers also. Great pad. Great fit. I’m 6’3″, 96kg and 35ish waist. XXL perfect fit

Truly the best pair of cycling shorts I’ve ever worn, a lot better than much more expensive shorts I have tried. The compression fit is fantastic delivering good compression whilst never feeling uncomfortable or too tight, they feel exactly like a second skin

Was bought these as a birthday present, and initially I thought they might be a little tight, I actually quite like the compression element as mentioned, but a large here is smaller than in their other shorts. I have lost nearly 10kgs so definitely needed a large and not XL. Love the straps, they are really comfortable. The Lycra is a bit shiny but it feels like good quality despite that. Now for the bad (for me) the pad is very forward and not like the other pads forms Galibier, it’s also not as comfortable as the others. I love the blue/Red pads you get in the other shorts but I’ve worn these twice now and I found them uncomfortable. Sorry, I want to love them like the others items but I just can’t.

Purchased these to replace a pair of high end Italian bibs. Made in Italy to Italian measurements they said. Size up. hmmm. So ordered my usual Italian medium.
So they turned up complete with a special bag to wash your best cycling lingerie in, a pair of nifty black socks and best of all, they looked bloody fantastic. Then I went to put them on. Uh oh! I don’t have the biggest legs in the world but the grippers were not too keen to go beyond my calves. Then they baulked at my knees. I was sure they would never contain my butt. Eventually they were on. Compressive? You bet. Uncomfortable? Not at all. I was pleasantly surprised, although I thought that the pad was a bit far forward and unlikely to provide much padding.
First ride of 130km and they felt OK.
Second ride was 225km and they were just the best. Most of the day was spent in the drops and no hint of discomfort in the nether regions. The compression on the legs may or may not have helped, but I certainly didn’t notice them which is obviously a good thing.

Really nicely made shorts – very compressive (pay attention to the size chart), decent chamois and all edges are laser cut. Highly recommended
I am 1.95m, 90kg, 86cm waist and got the XXL

These are the best bibs I’ve tried. I’ve found it very difficult to find something that works for me. The latest Castelli Free Aero 4 rub, despite trying two sizes. The latest Assoss Equipe RS 9 rub and just don’t pad very well. Various cheaper options haven’t been good for longer rides. The best I’ve found was the Lusso Carbon v2, which are great but I wouldn’t want to wear them all day. These Galibier Regale are bloody marvellous. They’re a tight fit in the legs, but once on they’re super comfortable. I did a 185km ride and had no issues of comfort at all. I was happy to carry on. I’m so impressed, I’ll be buying another set of these as a backup. Maybe two!! Buy with confidence but watch the sizing.
I’m a 88cm waist, 100cm hips, 78kg, 181cm and can just get into XL. I might go 2XL next time, but these are still good.

Great fit if a little tight on the legs but then… I wore these back to back with my Rapha pro shorts. Galibier are a few notches above. Easy to get in and out of the saddle and the best part is (I think) you don’t notice them at all in any circumstances. Like a second skin.

i purchased these bib shorts last week at launch. Today first exit of 110 km. My first impressions are very favorable, the lycra fabric is very supportive with excellent compression, the fabric follows the movements of the muscles as if it were a second skin, the exit and entry into the saddle when you get up on the pedals is immediate and clean, the pliers on the thighs are very, very tight they wrap you up a lot but this depends on the size I bought. I took an S and I’m 1.82 cm tall. weight 64kg and my waist is 77cm. Bib shorts are very snug as I like them and maybe for a more relaxing ride I should have taken an M. The pad is fantastic today a 4 hour ride and no soreness or itching, it always stays in place in any situation and is very supportive . The only notes that I can recommend to Galibier are: 1) the straps and the flap on the back should be mesh or more perforated because as they are made they become soaked in sweat which they cannot eliminate. Although today it was very hot to be honest 32 degrees;
2) the clamps on the thighs are very very snug and therefore I think that wearing these bib shorts with leggings is very difficult if not then decide to take a size up. Finally, I advise Galibier to also include the thermal version. Personally I always use bib shorts from Rapha Pro Team but these are definitely of a higher level. To conclude, I also bought a mistral jacket for this winter and a pair of leggings. I thank Galibier, whose commercial and product quality policy I agree with, who honored me with a hat and a pair of socks. Thank you

Basically I was in the market for another bibs. One day I received a message from Galibier saying they had new bibs out. As I was already happy with what I got from them I decided I would give it a shot.
Bibs are great. I think chamois itself and how it’s sewn into bibs is the best I could hope for.
I took a gamble with size but it was worth it imo. I was between L/XL, went with L. It’s a bit harder to put on than my other bibs due to large thigs but by no means uncomfortable.
Couple of 3h rides behind me and my bottom is very happy.
You guys never disappoint.

Sublime!
Chamois is superb.
Styling understated as black bib shorts should be.
Lots of compression through the legs.
Sizing spot on with regards waist but I’d size up if your thighs are chunky (muscle obviously)
With these Galibier have established themselves as worthy rivals to top end Castelli shorts.
There were pristine Ardennes white socks gifted with the shorts! Perfect for the “euro cyclist” Already a favourite of mine.
Congratulation Myles and co on achieving excellence
