Crafted for optimal warmth in all conditions, the membrane jersey ensures comfort during your rides, even under threatening clouds. A mere light base layer beneath is sufficient to maintain warmth, and its design ensures a defense against harsh winds, especially during long races or extensive rides.
Steviefitzy46 shares, “Unbelievable Foul weather Jersey. Had this on 2 days now with the rain and wind- who needs a rain coat #galibiervelo”
Our jersey material undergoes a DWR treatment before production, granting it a durable water-repellent quality. While the Mistral jersey is water-resistant, it’s essential to note that its superior body stretch doesn’t allow for internally taped seams. This means that during heavy rain, water might seep through. However, its windproof nature, combined with a breathable rating exceeding 10,000, ensures you remain warm.

Features:
- Triple-layer Light 9000/10000 membrane (WP/VP) with DWR treatment.
- Windproof with an anti-stick zip.
- Each jersey incorporates over 2 meters of technical fabric.
- Neck-friendly articulated fleece collar, tailored for all cycling postures.
- Visibility-enhancing 3M reflective trim on rear pockets.
- Three stretchable rear pockets featuring mesh drainage.
- Secured with a silicone waistband and double stitching throughout.
Sizing Guide: The jersey boasts a snug fit, designed for wearing over just a thin base layer. Embracing new generation fabrics means rethinking how we layer for different conditions. This jersey does not require additional layering in wind or rain. For those preferring a more relaxed fit or planning on wearing multiple layers, consider sizing up. Mark comments, “With a 34 waist and 42 chest, the XL fits perfectly.” If you find yourself between sizes, opt for the larger one, especially if only wearing a light base layer underneath.

Excellent jersey. Mine is nearly 2 years old and it still looks like new. Close fit, I’m 179cm / 76kg and Large is perfect. Smooth running, large zip allows easy ventilation. The red / orange colour is nice and bright with added reflective panels. With a base layer and arm warmers it covers most of the year’s riding in sunny Ireland. Beware – it will make a lot of your other cycling clothes redundant.

This is by far the most versatile jersey I own, for on or off-road. Great to wear over a base layer in Autumn and Spring, or if it turns really bad, combine with a Ventultra Gilet, it always keeps me toasty warm and completely dry. Superb storage pockets for my food(!) and a great fit – the L suits me – 6’ tall, 40” chest. You’ll not find a product like this anywhere else.

Pair this with a good set of arm warmers and you are covered for most of the year round. Treat it well with an occasional dip in Nikwax and it repays you with great water hesitancy. Sufficiently breathable to keep you cool when the day heats up and the arm warmers come off. This is my go to jersey up to around 16/17 degrees. Don’t go near a Gabba/Perfetto/Fiandre without trying this first.

Fantastic bit of kit. Wore it at the Lakelander Gravel Grinder and it couldn’t have been better. I was wearing it over a very light sleeveless base (a wifebeater). In typical Fermanagh style, we had a whole spectrum of weather – started mild and dry, but it was raining on and off and while it was generally quite mild, there was a strong cold wind in more exposed places. This jersey had everything covered – enough ventilation to keep cool in the warmer bits, warm and windproof enough to prevent any chills and water repellent enough to keep my dry.
As others have suggested, the sleeves seem a tad wide, but I think this may be intentional for ventilation?

This is now my “go to” cycling jersey. Superb piece of kit. Worn on all but the very warmest days here in Scotland and even when, during the ride, temperatures rose as the sun came out it remained comfortable. When it’s cooler arm warmers compensate for the shorter sleeves. The full length zip works well making in ride adjustments, descending for example, a breeze. I’m fairly short (5’6”), 38 inch chest, and sought advice from Galibier who recommended a Large and it fits really well. All in all top quality and fantastic functionally at a good price.

Got my sentinel in spring 20 and it’s really been my go-to top for long rides in the changeable weather of North East Eng through much of the year, except for full on winter. It’s the versatility that makes it a top piece of kit. With base layer, armwarmers and a rain jacket in the back pocket, you’re pretty much equipped for most conditions so ideal for early starts, and long rides where you can’t track all the weather forecasts or you’re riding moorlands and peaks that are always exposed to wind. If it heats up, you can unzip a little and won’t boil over. For me it’s the ideal versatile top that gives you confidence that you’re well equipped for all conditions without having to carry loads of changes. It just makes life simpler. Good size pockets too. Thanks Galibier!

Brilliant. Used today for first time in changeable conditions – showers and ~6 degrees up in the Chilterns, ~11 degrees and breezy down below. Fits well, warm, dry. I’m XL, 6’3″ and 32″ waist. First purchase from Galibier.cc, wont be last.

Have been using the jersey for a number of weeks now and very pleased with it. Ideal for the 3 seasons in a day weather we’re having at the moment. I’m 188cm 32ish waist and went for XL size. Fits fine – nice long back, no flapping. Like the high neck, deep pockets and chunky zip tag. On cold days once you’ve got going it does keep the chill at bay.
Very speedy delivery. All good, thanks Galibier!

Superb. The material is a little bit lighter than the Mistral Foul Weather jacket, and breathes extremely well (as I said in my comments on the jacket, this is probably the best performing laminated waterproof fabric I have ever owned, it beats Gore hands down). Temperature-wise it works well into mid teen Cs, I have used it on a 19C day, and while not optimal, it wasn’t excessively sweaty. The secret of this is the smooth zip with a big toggle, which can be adjusted in a fraction of second. On the lower end it’s not too bad down to about 4C, so ideal for Spring early morning starts.
The color is orange rather than bright red I expected, but it’s quickly grown on me.
Standard Galibier fit; I am 36+ waist / 174cm and XL is perfect for me.

This is an awesome piece of kit and the price makes it excellent value for money. I bought it in December and it’s my ‘go to’ top for riding through the cool North East climate. I wear it with just a base layer (and arm warmers if it’s particularly cool) and it keeps out the weather perfectly. At 6’4” and 92kg with 42” chest, the XL fits perfectly.

Really chuffed with this great quality product, well made and the sizing is good.
I’m 6’1″, 38″ chest, 160 lb and the Large is a great fit. I can get a base layer underneath and it’s spot on – not loose but not hideously tight. So far I’ve used in 6-8 degree temperatures and also at 17 degrees (the latter with no base layer) and it’s been very comfortable. Cuts out 100% of the wind. I’ve only been caught in a couple of light showers so I can’t really vouch for the waterproof qualities.
(I’ve also picked up some Pearl Izumi wind and waterproof arm warmers – wow, what a terrific combination. Covers all the bases.)

I am so impressed with this jersey.ive done three ride’s in , the first one to work at 6 am with a thin base layer and arm warmers and the temperature went as low as 1.8 deg C. My arms were cold but my body was just right with not a hint of windchill getting through. Next ride was 60 miles slightly warmer temperatures and really comfortable body temperature but again cold arms. Yesterday used long sleeve base layer with arm walmers and believe it or not the temperature went as high as 20 odd degrers. Jacket performed beautifully. The fire red is more orange to my eyes which is perfect for me and looks classy. The pockets are perfectly placed, unlike the foul weather jacket ehich are too high up my back for me. They’re a bit tight but i got all i needed to carry in them comfortably. At first i thought the zip pull was too big but having to vent a little heat off it’s perfect. No struggling to find zip with gloved hands. I’ve never had a gabba and now I’ll never need one. Excellent value for money. Put the pockets on foul weather jacket in the same place and I’ll buy another one.

Firstly, Galibier’s service is second to none, being an inbetweener in sizes on practically everything, the Galibier Team have been ace and very patient with my rambling emails.
Regarding the Sentinel, I am 5’ 10”, 80-82 Kilos dependent on which point of the season, chest 105cm and very middle aged. I ordered a large thought it maybe too small contacted Galibier and Myles kindly sent a XL for me to try and the large was the perfect fit after all. Chapeau for customer service and care.
Quality – Excellent as is all my Galibier kit and is the equal to many brands I feel I am too frugal to even consider.
Size – As described the jersey is a closefitting top, that said I have worn it with a summer jersey as a baselayer. For me a great fit
Riding – Wore for the first on Good Friday 2021 with an old jersey as a baselayer. The weather was cold, 3-4°C with a Northerly wind. Combined perfectly with the Ardennes II armwarmers, I found I neither overheated or got to cold.
Summary – This jersey is an excellent fit, good quality, has great windproofing and thermal properties. Just what I wanted.

I’ve done a few rides in this since Christmas in temps of under 4 degrees. With two thin summer baselayers and arm warmers underneath I’ve been warm, and endured solid rain and stayed dry. The jersey/jacket is comfortable and light, feels just like a normal jersey but with all the advantages of a soft shell. Top class clothing.

Brilliant weather resistant (near proof) jersey that is priced great. I wear this for my commute so I don’t get too hot as it breathes really well for the protection it gives. I’ve worn it down to 0°C with a baselayer and been happy with good gloves & arm warmers. 6’3 and 83kg, 33in waist, ~42in chest and size XL is a good fit.
Really well thought out design. The sleeves are slightly longer than my other jerseys so cover the tops of arm warmer. The scooped back is long while the front is short. The neck is nice and high. Pockets are spot on.
Would love some beefier arm warmers from Galibier to match this… I’d buy them immediately.

This Jersey is awesome. We ride a weekly night ride where it gets down to single figures all to regularly. I wear this with the barrier base layer and some arm warmers and it’s more than warm enough and brilliantly waterproof. It’s so food that a couple of my mates have bow brought one as well. Can’t recommend this highly enough if you ride in the wet or in lower temperatures

Started off in clear blue skies and wondered why I’d chosen to wear the Sentinel. Then Storm Ellen dumped a torrential downpour on Ireland and I knew why. Core kept dry and warm. Can’t praise this jacket enough. I don’t think its claimed to be fully waterproof but the rain just beaded on the surface. I can see this being worn in all seasons.

This is the first technical fabric cycling clothing I’ve got and the first from Galibier. Used it on a night ride down to 11 degrees and it was amazing. Windproof, warm and breathable. Never knew cycling could be so much better with proper clothing. Will be getting more from the company since they local too.

Excellent jersey. I’m comparing the Sentinel to a short sleeved Gabba and it does a comparable job at a fraction of the price. It feels a bit heavier than the Gabba, but in West-of=Ireland weather that’s fine by me! The rain beads off and it does a superb job of keeping you warm and dry. A super piece of kit.

Having owned a ss Gabba from that expensive Italian cycle clothing co for over 3 years I can honestly say the Sentinel is better. Better stitching, better zip, better fit (the sizing chart is spot on.) Better styling, and a mile of handsome reflective graphics down the back. Very pleased. Im 6’1″ 42 in. Chest, the xl bob on. Only one v minor niggle are the sleeve cuffs a little baggy and I’m not weedy.. but as I said a minor thing.

First and only use so far was on Exmoor in the typically mizzley wet conditions. It was probably too warm for this top, but it stopped me getting soaked through over the course of a few hours. This is a superb top and looks stunning in flame red. I have a Gabba too, but for this sort of money I don’t think I’ll be replacing it now I gave the Galibier. Top stuff.

Wore the Sentenel jacket for the first time today,13 degrees, miserable day with a couple of heavy downpours and I was dry and comfortable the water just beaded off.The large was a perfect fit,I’m 6’0 and 77k, top marks again another quality product.
Note to Galibier. A pair of water repellent arm warmers would be a great addition to your product list.

Arrived and have used on two rides in fine Scottish summer, fine up to 16c any more it would be too warm but ideal for the 10c start on a cool damp early morning ride. Feels similar and perhaps a little heavier than my Gabba jersey… No bad thing if it performs the same, so far so good. Stitching not as neat but feels durable enough, fabric itself is obviously quality stuff though. Red colour looks great. I went for a medium as was close to upper limit of small. To be honest the fit was a bit like my equipe jersey… Could not go much closer around waist and middle but a little bit loose in chest, shoulder and sleeve… This is only downside for me, I’m a fairly slim cyclist with the usual narrow chest and arms that go with long days in saddle. If you want it fitted you need to up your arm game and get that chest expanded! But that being said, I don’t intend to race in this so a little space around shoulders and chest is no harm. There is a little stretch in material but not like lycra so I’d definitely not size down. Overall a great price for a jersey that is all intents and purposes up for the same conditions as the famous Italian but a little fitting quirk to bear in mind. Looks superb mind you.

First ride today. 14c, no baselayer, jersey performed great, didn’t feel the wind and when the rain came it just beaded on the jersey. Great product again Galibier and great price. Still can’t find the advertised chest phone pocket though . #itsjustajersey
