Our Tempest Rain Gloves have been specifically developed to protect hands on days where it is raining or rain is expected.
Neoprene gloves, in addition to their perfect fit, are characterized by excellent insulating properties. This means that they retain natural body heat, but do not cause the hands to overheat while riding. The neoprene fabrics manage heavy precipitation, by absorbing a moderate amount of water into the outer textile and, insulated by the body, ensure consistent thermoregulation throughout. Fully neoprene gloves can become heavy and retain odours, so we have evolved the rain glove using a hybrid of two other technical fabrics to maximise grip and optimal handlebar control which is essential in cold, wet rides and races.

Great: just what I wanted. Snug, light fit and warm enough. Unfortunately the thin material at stitching on a thumb has come away after two light wears. That’s disappointing but sending them back would be a nuisance and, being such a thin fabric, it may well happen again; so I have stitched it and used some seam sealant. I’ll see what happens.

Love these. Wore them out in 8°C and misty, although not actually raining.
I have cold hands, but after half an hour or so these had kept enough heat in that my hands were toasty, but they never felt sweaty.
I finished the ride and I was sweaty everywhere but when I pulled off my gloves, my hands were bone dry. Really impressed. Also impressed with the sticky bits on the palms; they’re almost too sticky! No risk of your hand slipping on wet bars.
A note on sizing; I have a lot of Galibier gloves and am a medium in all of them, with the leather ones stretching slightly and making me think I maybe could have had a small. These come up small so if you are at the tighter end of your size, get the next one up. I could have bought large and I’m sure they would have been ok.
