Have recently brought this gilet and used it three times in recent weeks, worked really well over a long sleeve base layer and long sleeve top, also Galibie. Worked perfectly well on a cold Spring mornings. I’m 5’6″, 40 ” chest, 32″ waist, approx , 10.5stone I brought the large and it fitted well over all the garments. The side access points are excellent for getting to the much needed hankie pocket

Light and packable. Love the offset zip.

Decided to chuck this on over my Sentinel jersey as the wind chill took the temperature to minus 4 (not that I’ve had any problems keeping warm in the Sentinel but it was particularly bitter on this ride and my base layer isn’t winter specific, must upgrade). It did the job fantastically and I remained warm and comfortable throughout my windy, wintery ride. Very comfortable and light and didn’t flap at all in descents. Packs down into an old cloth pouch for sunglasses lenses. Stylish gilet with the off-centre zip adding a dash more class. Highly recommended, sizing spot on i got a large for 102cm chest and xl in the Sentinel.

This Gilet is perfect, does everything you would expect whist being super packable, light and great fitting

So far so good – worn it once on a typical gilet day. Added warmth when needed, packed away small when not needed. If you forget to take it off, you don’t end up in a lather of sweat at the top of the hill.
Why not five stars? Needs some more high-vis elements, and ideally should be available in some kind of screaming yellow.

As always, a very quick, friendly, and efficient service. I wore the gilet for the first time the day after ordering. It was a typical Scottish autumn day – about 10 degrees with blustery winds. Just a single layer beneath the gilet. Additionally, to further test the garment, it started raining about half way through. Upper body remained warm and dry throughout. I have no hesitation in recommending this gilet and would plan to carry it with me at all times as a “just in case”. If it helps anyone with sizing, I’m 6’2″, 86kg, 42″ chest, and ordered the XL – fits just right.

The gilet is perfect in every way -fit, performance, quality – and the service, as always, is second to none. Highly recommended!

I genuinely love this piece of kit. I needed a light summer gilet to keep the chill off from this so called Scottish summer and having been delighted with my recent purchase of my Campionissimo leather mitts, I decided to
Go-Galibier again. It’s brilliant! Lightweight, I mean, really lightweight, but still keeps me at the perfect temperature. Going up,up I unzip a few inches and let the heat out. The slits at the back make for easy access to my jersey pockets , the length at the front and back is perfect for me and( in my humble opinion) I look very stylish wearing it. I’m a smidge over 6ft, 33 “ waist and slim build and the large is spot on. Galibier, you’ve cracked it again, top quality, stylish and very affordable in fact so much so I told my wife the real price.

Great emergency gillet. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve taken this out in my back pocket and actually forgot it’s there. That’s how light it is! Still does a great job at keeping the wind off your chest.
Disclaimer – only works if you remember to put it on

First impressions are great. Bought to replace a bottom of the range gilet by a certain well-known red-badged Italian brand, this gilet is lighter, better cut, has a zip that actually works, is made from far nicer nylon (it’s almost silk-like, similar to that used in expensive ultralight tents) and bothers to put slits for accessing your pockets. For less money. Galibier, if you did one in navy I’d buy that too!

Used this gilet during a colder eventing ride and felt very light. You don,t notice wearing this. Another great value for money item grom Galibier.

Bought this for the heavy downpours on spins and races and it’s performed remarkably well. It packs up really small and the offset zips are a great addition

Have used it for an all day light rainy summer ride, and for chilly late summer/autumnal morning training and for the former I got wet eventually but stayed warm and comfortable, for the latter it takes off the wind chill.
Only improvement would be some grippers on the back hem to stop it riding up, but if you have anything in your jersey pockets it tucks below these OK. There is also a small amount of flapping in the wind on the shoulders when riding into wind on the hoods, seems to go away on the drops though!
Overall a great and versatile product for all your spring/summer/autumn rides

Lovely gilet! I only wear a small backpack to work (I commute to work) and this item is perfect because it fits snugly into one of the spare side pockets – so I always have it with me in case I need it. The gilet is perfect to use in the morning with a t-shirt for me – on my ride home it’s warmed up enough not to need it. But it really takes the edge off in the morning.

Bought it in preparation for a trip to the Alps. First used descending north side of Col du Galibier which I though very fitting! It totally does the job and so small, I used it on the rest of the week’s descents. Highly recommended, why pay more?

I’ve had this gilet for a couple of months now and although I generally can’t be bothered to submit reviews I felt I should sing it’s praises. Very light and slips into even the smallest pocket but does it’s job perfectly. I really like the neat access to your rear pockets too. A bargain at this price too. My first Galibier purchase but will not be my last.

Superb! This gilet is very close to perfection. Neck is slightly loose but this is not noticeable in use. Clever design to offset the zip a little means it doesn’t interfere with what’s worn beneath. Slight tendency for it to ride up from the bottom hence could be an inch longer, otherwise perfect fit for a slim man. Seems to be marketed as an “emergency garment”……I’d say an essential piece of equipment.
Excellent quality and carries the Galibier hallmark of intelligent design, materials and workmanship.

Top class gilet. I’ve used it on the cooler days in the summer over a jersey – keeps the core nice and warm. Great in light showers, ultra light and compact.

what a great bit of kit ,never leave home without it

I’m not sure what sort of magic Galibier use in the making of this gilet but it works brilliantly, worn on a early morning ride over a short sleeved jersey and kept my core at a perfect temperature, once removed it takes up so little space you forget you’ve got it. Only slight complaint was a little wind noise around the shoulder.

This is a great little piece of kit. It’s so light you’d be forgiven for thinking that it won’t be up to much but nothing could be further from the truth. I’ve yet to trial it in the wet, but I had it on over a short-sleeve jersey this morning in a foggy 9 degrees and it was nothing short of perfect. The off-set zip is great and the 2 slits at the back are perfectly positioned to access your jersey pockets underneath. It scrunches up into a tiny ball and you’d barely notice it in a jersey pocket. I went for the large and it’s perfect on me (42″ chest / 5′ 11″ tall). I have the Tourmalet and Mistral jackets also in large and the sizing is on a par with those.
The only thing that would make this gilet even more perfect would be a tiny bit of silicone gripper on the hem. That small suggestion aside, this is another excellent piece of kit from Galibier and at the price, you couldn’t go wrong.

I was lucky to get a sample to test for racing in Belgium this spring and love it. I keep it in my small saddle bag with my tube and levers.
I know I didn’t pay for it – but would in a heart beat as it weighs nothing! Thanks for all the support Galibier.
