I have waited to put a few hundred miles before this review, including a 130 mile sportive.
I came from Isadore & Rapha both of which I rate.
At first they felt very snug on the thighs –
As stated in the description.
After a few miles on the maiden ride I soon forgot the ‘tightness’ and soaked in to the comfort they were providing.
The pad is very good and the material very smooth.
So, these are my go to bibs & my £200+ other ones haven’t seen the light of day since!

As with the rest of my Galibier clothing, these bib shorts are exceptional. My previous ‘premium’ set of shorts were needing to be replaced, but the price was eye watering. I have purchased 2 sets of these shorts, for almost the price of the other brand. They are just as good, if not better. Super comfortable for both short and long rides, they don’t move or ride up at all. The straps/braces are lovely and wide, the whole product just feels great quality. And for this price, is incredible value for money.

As a tall, skinny guy the L is the right fit (1,96m, 75kg). Great quality as always. It feels comfortable to wear, only thing is that for me it is a bit short. A longer option would be great.

I have been wearing bibs since before Roche collapsed at La Plagne and I can easily state with the FACT that these are the single most comfortable bib shorts I have ever owned. I’ve worn them all from Swiss, Italian and London based makers. I got the L , I’m 5 9 and 80Kg , suits me just fine. 100KM spin at the weekend with an extended Cafe break – zero issues , in fact when I came home I was in no hurry to get out of them. The only reason I am hesitant to recommend these is in case they sell out before I get more. Well done to Myles and the team for providing exactly what we need to keep us comfortable on the road.

Overall they’re excellent bibs but I’m frustrated by the chamois with these bibs just as much as I am by other brands. I have a saddle with a generous cutout to relieve pressure in critical areas but the chamois does not match this at all, yes there is some mild reduction in padding through the centre of the pad but nowhere near enough to make a significant difference so as a result this padding clumps in the cutout and just adds pressure where I don’t want it. Size wise definitely go larger if you’re between sizes. Great quality and excellent value as usual from Galibier.

The quality of materials and stitching is very good. I got a size XL and it’s comfortable. I just wish it was couple cm longer – it doesn’t match the sizing chart that’s mentioned in the description (the chart says inner length for XL should be 30.5cm, but I measured mine and it’s closer to 27.5).

These are without doubt the most comfortable bib shorts I’ve ever worn. I’ve just put them to the test on the Way of the Roses coast to coast solo ride from Morecambe to Bridlington; 274km with no chaffing, rubbing or slippage, over the course of 13 hours. The chamois is very well shaped and perfectly padded for long rides, it wicks well and felt dry all day despite a lot of sweating on big hills in 20 degree temperatures. The construction quality is first rate with great feeling fabrics, a nice compression to the thighs, and bib straps that you simply don’t notice.
I’m 180 cm tall, 82 kg and went for the XL and found them to be a perfect fit.

1,85m – 77kg, L is the good size. Solid fabric, not too thin, a little bit compressive: 3 to 6 hours rides with this on local rough roads, the comfort is here and the pad is quite impressive, doing perfectly its job.
I like the oldschool cut, 2/3 of the thigh.

These are the best bibs I own, and I have few pairs of that ‘big’ C brand. The pad is the best I’ve used and these do genuinely feel like a second skin. They are brilliant at wicking away sweat really well and the compression is just right.. I’ll be ordering more next summer.
I’m between sizes as I’m carrying a bit too much timber, particularly around the belly, therefore I went with Large to match my hip measurement to the size chart even though my waist is a few centimetres wider. They were quite tight at first but after a couple of rides they’ve worn in nicely.

First ride out with the Grand Tour Ultra Bib Shorts, 85 miles. The bib shorts are excellent, I would place them in between racing compression and a more relaxed bib short, with a very comfortable chamois. They are slightly shorter than other bib shorts but it is not a problem. I began to annoy The people I was cycling with as I kept telling them how impressed I was with the shorts. I have had the whole range of Rapha gear and these bib shorts are easily as good.
As always with Galibier the quality of the stitching is spot on, and they will last the test of time.
I am 80 Kg and went large… i have slightly larger thighs and I would say I was at the top end of sizing… could possibly try XL ( tempted to get another pair)

Well they arrived on Saturday morning and were in action straight away on the 110 mile Dunwich Dynamo that night.
Fantastic pair of shorts, the pad is fantastic, much slimmer than anything else I have but at the same time probably the most comfortable and supportive pad I’ve ridden. Its firmer than most but that works really well.
The soft lycra of the actual shorts is perfect, really comfortable, a good level of compression without feeling tight, and the wide seamless straps are just what I’ve been looking for as you don’t get any ‘cutting’ in on the shoulders like you do with narrower/ seamed bib straps. Nice wide leg grippers are spot on and don’t cut in at all either. Size wize I am 6ft2″, 36 waist and 49″ chest and carrying some weight and the XXL fitted me fine.
These are definitely my new favourite shorts!! Thanks Galibier for keeping my derriere perfectly intact on a Saturday night!
