Introducing the Colombière jacket, meticulously engineered for extreme cold weather cycling. Yet, its versatile design seamlessly transitions from high-performance biking to casual leisure wear. Whether you’re bikepacking in the wild or walking to your favorite coffee shop in the rain, this jacket ensures you remain comfortable and stylish.
Derived from 50% recycled bottles, its synthetic insulation offers breathability and odor resistance while ensuring a windproof layer that maintains its integrity even after washing. A water-repellent (DWR) finish shields you against light showers, and a detachable hood adds flexibility based on your needs. For added security, the jacket features inseam zipped front pockets to safeguard your valuables, and elasticated cuffs, waist, and a high neck to prevent chilly draughts.
Optimal for temperatures ranging from 10°C down to sub-zero conditions, the jacket can be paired with a single base layer during exercise. Need additional warmth during relaxation or in colder climates? Simply add a mid-layer.
Fashioned with a contoured fit, it’s neither too snug nor too loose, offering room for an added layer if desired. Roubaix fabric panels, integrated on the sides and the inner arms, ensure the jacket conforms comfortably to your body, enhancing thermo-regulation both during activity and rest. Whether you’re lifting a bike or reaching for a drink, its design grants effortless movement.
The jacket’s 80gm insulation is encased between two lightweight nylon outer layers, ensuring rapid drying and an optimal warmth-to-weight ratio. For those who value safety, reflective accents on the chest zip and rear panel enhance visibility. The jacket’s design is completed with an embroidered logo, adding a touch of elegance.
Named after the Col de la Colombière, a renowned mountain pass in the French Alps, this jacket symbolizes protection and warmth. While the pass remains accessible only during summer, this jacket provides year-round protection, echoing the endurance of the mountains it’s named after.

A great jacket and beautifully made – ‘L’ fits me perfectly (1.8m tall, 79kg), rain beads on the fabric and it dries out really quickly, warm enough without overheating, I’m using this mainly as a casual jacket & can highly recommend it.

i was looking for a long time for a light warm jacket that i can wear around freezing with just a long warm undershirt. This works perfectly. I have chosen with 1.94cm and 95kg for size XL. The jacket fits easily to the body, does not tighten around the chest and does not flutter in the wind. A slightly thicker undershirt than the ‘Barrier’ certainly still goes. Who would like to have it airy or even more to pull under, which is ggfs. better off with XXL.
The jacket also copes well with damp, foggy weather, in the rain I think that will be around 2° C not so pleasant. But there are rain jackets for that.
What I really appreciate the jacket is the airy warmth and good air conditioning. Precede but the cut with the long sleeves, absolutely super on the road bike and MTB!

Bought this in lockdown a few months back as needed a new jacket for walks. Lightweight and warm , it kept the winds out and looks good. The medium for me was a good fit at 1.8m and 70kg.

I had been looking for a jacket for quite a while until I discovered this. Absolutely superb, light , warm, showerproof. This is not just for serious cyclists, the older cyclist on a standard road bike will get equal use from it. Well made and stylish at a great price.

This is just what I hoped for: the five star reviews are entirely deserved and I’m very happy to add another. Great design; quality materials; very carefully sewn. This coat is excellent value, and I feel very stylish as well as warm. I’ll be a loyal customer as other older kit retires.

After buying the izoard for myself I bought my wife one of these … Not so much biking but for her 7-8 mile daily walks. Normally around a size 12 the small fitted good, sleeves perhaps a fraction long in cycling position but no problems due to elastic cuffs. Feedback is that is was warm and very breathable compared to a light down jacket normally worn. Coped well with light rain just over a baselayer on a walk at around 7c, definitely fine if colder too. I might buy one myself eventually, a nice jacket and good that it can be used on and off a bike.

First outing in my new Colombière jacket today (7/03/21)- around 2 hours and it was 2 degrees C. Wore only a base layer and was toasty throughout. The jacket is a great fit. I opted for a large (had tried the XL). I’m 5’10” and 14 stone and the large is snug but the flexible side panels meant that there was a bit of wriggle room. Great sleeve length too. Looking forward to more freezing days as for the first time I know I’ll be able to stay warm for a good length of time. Top-notch jacket Galibier thanks and well done on a fab product.

This is a brilliant jacket! It is incredibly warm. I never need to wear anything but a short sleeved base layer underneath. I’ve tried it in temps ranging from -5 – 8 degrees and works a charm. I also use it as a knocking about coat at the weekends when taking my kids to the park. Handles rain well and the hood is great. Only thing I would add in the future is a loop to hang it.

Great jacket I’m very pleased with it, A big well done for the very accurate sizing, in a world of wacky sizing Galibier have done a great job of bang on sizing, well done! Only minor niggle is the front pocket is really too small for much more and a snack bar, smart phones won’t fit, but over all a very good item 🙂

I’ve used the Colombiere insulated jacket all through the winter months since purchase in November. I went for the grey/orange. I use the orange for cycling as it gives good visibility and the reversible grey for walking/casual wear. It’s kept me warm with a base layer and a thin gilet at temperatures as low as -7 degrees.Top quality product, as usual, from Galibier. A free pair of socks was an added bonus. Quick delivery and a company with a great ethos.

Treated myself to this jacket as it looked as though it would double for casual use and camping. The fit, in every respect, is spot on for me in size large (6’0”, 73.5kg, and long in the arm). Comfort off the bike is superb with no restriction when reaching or bending etc. despite the snug fit. Haven’t yet found the right combination of base layer for warmth on the bike and I might like a lightweight gilet or jacket from Galibier when back in stock to cover all eventualities on long forest rides. Maybe I’m a cold soul but I am finding the suitable temperature claims/ guides for Galibier clothing to be a few degrees optimistic but easily cancelled out by the quality and value for money.

Wow, what can I say. I read a lot of good things about galibier so decided to produce a wish list for Christmas for the Mrs, this being one on the list. Coat fantastic on and off the bike, warm but breathable, great quality and true to size.
Now what shall I buy next??

Had this jacket a couple of months now and am really pleased with my purchase. I’m 6’2” and 78Kg and the large size fits a treat. The long sleeve lengths are perfect and the stretchy sides make the jacket comfortable when on the bike. Ventured out into the Beast from the East 2 this morning for a couple of hours, temperature -2*C. With base layer and long sleeve top I felt toasty and happy to stay out.
All in all, great value for money.

Colombiere takes on Beast from the East II. Received this great jacket as an Xmas gift and had until today been happily using as a casual jacket. I’m a boxy 41″ chest and already has the gilet version in Medium. My wife thought it was too short in the front when worn casually with jeans so bought the Large. Truth is I’m borderline on sizing- the Galibier size guide are spot on. Anyway worn today on 40+ mile route of which the first hour was spent heading into a brisk NE wind, with windchillof -4. I’m simply astounded at how warm this jacket kept my core, to the extent that I didn’t get any if the chilling niggles of the extremities that normally start to creep in on prolonged rides when the mercury is hoveringaround zero. My fingers, toes and face were all fine. The long sleeves and tail designed to work on the bike do so. A really great bit of kit. Functional, fits well and looks great. It’s one of a growing number of Galibier garments that I now own and rate highly. The shopping experience is very much like your local friendly bike shop. Personal, accommodating and efficient. Well done once again to the team at Galibier CC.

Worn for the first time yesterday in 1 Degree along coast of NE England (Sunderland to South Shields & back) with base layer & long sleeve jersey. Toasty on 20 miler & washed perfectly at 30 degree sports setting. Opted for Blue in size Small (I am 36/37 chest and 10st 7lb – fits fine with nice drop at rear).
As before price vs quality is incomparable. Will be used as walking layer under waterproof as well.
Highly recommended & I will be purchasing more Galibier items when wallet allows – I’m a convert!!
PS – free snood was a nice touch – thanks!

I can highly recommend this jacket in grey / orange its very well made and is great value for money far better than some jackets costing much more . I chose the large to fit me 6 feet 1 inch tall 38 inch chest. the arms are a perfect length for me . Its a great jacket for both cycling and walking even just leisure wear . On the bike today it was just 2 degrees I wore just a base layer under neath and I was nice and warm. Highly recommended . In fact I will be buying a second one in another colour. Lastly thank you for the free socks.

A great jacket that fits snug as a casual jacket, but fits just right on the bike.
Guessing it’s gonna be a warm jacket, but as the other half is a slow rider, it’s gonna come in handy when cycling with the wife, or when stopped for a brew. At 6’1” and 93kg I went with the XL, but the XXL would have been a bit roomier

Got this jacket as a Christmas 2020 present, and so far I have not even used it for cycling…running, walking in snow, rain, hail, blizzards, and general life. Its amazing, just a light base layer below it and its so warm.
All my gear is now Galibier with the exception of 1 pair of gloves, and 1 pair of Overshoes for very cold days in Spatz.
Massive fan of this brand, its great value, great service, these guys are killing Rapha, Assos and Castelli on price yes but service and quality they are miles ahead…

Been using the jacket for the past two weeks on my daily 5m commute I opted for the orange one as gives better visability on the dark nights. Been using it with just a merino base layer the whole time and have never felt cold temps between 3 and 12 degree .The jacket is very lightweight Guess not waterproof but has managed the quick shower fine. I opted for the large 38-40″ chest and it fits fine so I can use it as a normal jacket if I so wanted, obvioulsy not a jacket for those who want a close fitting . The only tow slight gripes I have is that the internal pocket is not big enough to fit a phone and the zip to put the hood away felt a little less quality that the rest of the jacket but as say these are just minor gripes.

The guys at Galibier have done it again. Absolutely brilliant jacket, lightweight, warm, great fit and super quality. Really well fitted for use on the bike and great off-bike too. Super value for money. Quick delivery as always. Highly recommended.

I’ve worn this on the bike on a couple of cross town trips but I bought it for off the bike hikes. It’s light and close fitting and perfect for active daily lockdown walks as the cold begins to bite. I’ve worn it pretty much every day since it arrived and it’s fast becoming my go-to – parallel to my Mistral foul weather jacket when I’m on the bike for serious rides this time of year. I’ve also worn it in light showers and it stood up fine. Great job Galibier.

Received my new jacket last week and have used it 3 times already once on the road in the rain and twice on the mtb in wet and muddy conditions, it performed excellently keeping me completely dry and warm! Was also great to have the option of two colours of which the orange is perfect for being able to use in low light conditions

Received my jacket yesterday, wore it last night in heavy mist with a t shirt underneath. Walked 4km and arrived home bone dry. Great piece of kit, waterproof, warm and well made.
Didn’t get any socks though

I have just received my new jacket. I’ve always wanted a more causal jacket from Galibier that show cases the quality and style and can also be worn on and of the bike. I have now worn it a few times out walking and it not only feels as good as you’d expect but looks good to. I got the grey/orange and I can not recommend the jacket enough. This is the latest of a long list of my galibier wardrobe but the look and quality exceeds all that I have come to expect from this great brand. Keep up the good work.
Ride safe.

Chose the Grey/Orange jacket, the quality is great as always, quick free delivery. Yet to test the jacket in outdoor conditions yet so can’t comment on the temperature performance. The fit is good, I’m a 38″-40″ chest and chose Large size, pretty much a great fit. The seamless zip on the hood compartment is good and I love the design and style. All I could recommend for future versions would be some form of adjustment to tighten the hood. Thanks for the free Galibier socks too.
