Vitesse Aero Socks

For lovers of marginal gains and smooth looks; Vitesse Aero socks deliver.

WorldTour-proven technology, UCI-legal racing socks, engineered with drag-reducing textiles in a second-skin fit and updated for increased aerodynamics.

The aim of an aero sock is to keep air attached longer, reducing the size of the wake and thus minimising drag. Early aero socks used vertical lines, which work most efficiently when the leg is vertical. Our partner factory and research team studied how the ankle constantly changes angle during the pedalling rotation. This dynamic motion means that the effective onset flow angle is rarely perpendicular to the lower leg. Horizontal trip lines create a boundary layer of air which stays “stuck” to the leg longer before detaching.

The footbed has compression designed for for all day comfort,  while the cuff will stay in place thanks to the durable silicone non-slip band.

The aero pioneered design was created by testing various angles of ribs and showed very decisively that the horizontal ribs delivered the best overall drag reduction on the rider.
